Vikings replace Mike Wallace with Alshon Jeffery

Remember, these are “bold” predictions. Crazy things happen in the NFL every year.

In this scenario, the Chicago Bears do everything they can to re-sign Jeffery. Unfortunately, the two sides can’t come to an agreement on a long-term deal, and the Bears miss the deadline to slap him with the franchise tag. Hence, the 2016 free agency class’ top receiver finds his way onto the open market.

That’s when the Vikings swoop in and sign him. With plenty of cap space to work with after the release of Wallace, Minnesota empties its wallet for the big, physical receiver, luring him away from its NFC North foes. The Vikings get their true No. 1 receiver while sticking it to the Bears, who Jeffery now gets to dominate twice a year.

Bridgewater sees the news, and smiles from ear to ear knowing that Jeffery can catch just about anything thrown in his direction.
