While most mock drafts out there have the Titans taking Laremy Tunsil out of Ole Miss and some having Jalen Ramsey out of Florida State, there is one more prospect the Titans’ front office may be taking a long hard look at.

The Tennessee Titans hold the first overall pick in the upcoming draft and most draft analysts have the Titans taking either Laremy Tunsil or Jalen Ramsey. There’s one more prospect worth mentioning in that discussion and its UCLA football player Myles Jack.

Jack is capable of playing about half the positions on the football field. Although, he said it himself he desires to be a linebacker because of how much longer they last in the league, you can throw this guy anywhere and watch him make some insane plays.

He possesses this athletic ability I haven’t seen at the position in years. He plays with the intensity of Ray Lewis with the athletic ability of just about any player you can think of for someone his size. I really can’t think of someone who is worthy of a comparison. Jack has this down hill speed that’s just flat out rare to see. He can get to the ball from anywhere on the field in the blink of an eye.

His skills as a running back are just as impressive. He runs the ball with more aggression then most of the defenders who try to tackle him. He must have great core strength because he has some of the greatest balance I’ve ever seen for somebody moving as fast as he does.

If Jon Robinson were to make Myles Jack the selection, he could have a pretty great group of linebackers to compliment an already impressive front-7. You put Jack behind Jurrell Casey, Al Woods, and Daquon Jones who can all eat blocks, you could witness some game changing plays.

He is best suited for a 3-4 defense if he wanted to play in the middle of the field as a linebacker. He would succeed with big boys in front of him eating blocks allowing him to just spear through the line and blow the play up in the back field.

The only thing I saw that Jack needs to improve on his reaction off of the snap of the ball. There were a couple of times where we was caught out of position but was able to make up for it with his freakish athletic ability. In the NFL, when you go against running backs like Adrian Peterson and Todd Gurley, that split second off could prove to be fatal.

If the Titans decide to go best player available and potential over pure need, then it wouldn’t shock me if one way or another, Myles Jack ended up in the Music City.
