Philadelphia Eagles: Chase Daniel Next Up After Sam Bradford

Despite the impatient culture surrounding first-round rookie quarterbacks, Pederson plans to take it slow with his young signal-caller.

Wentz auditioned his celebration dance at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, per the NFL’s official Twitter handle:

Sorry Wentz, save your graceful flapping for the 2017 season.

According to Phillymag.com reporter Josh Paunil, Pederson doesn’t seem pressed to throw Wentz into the barn burner in his first year:

"My plan is to keep developing Carson. Again: Sam, Chase, Carson. Carson has a lot to learn, not only from the playbook, but just how to be a professional quarterback, how to handle the media, how to handle Philadelphia, his teammates, get to know his teammates."

Put down your Madden controllers anxious Philly fanatics. It’s not as easy as hitting the swap button on an automated depth chart.

Pederson didn’t bring Daniel from Kansas City to Philadelphia for $7 million annually to keep him behind Wentz in a new situation. The career-long clipboard holder will and should become the next in line after Bradford.

Pederson has at least one year before the hard push for Wentz comes into play. In the meantime, the Eagles seem satisfied with their veterans under center.

To the Wentz Brigade: Slow down and enjoy Sam Bradford or Chase Daniel.
