Every year there are players that everyone overlooks when drafting their fantasy teams, and they go on to have fantastic seasons. Which players on the Washington Redskins roster have the potential to be those sleepers?

Last season, the Redskins boasted a few solid sleepers. Kirk Cousins is the name that probably goes to everyone’s mind, he wasn’t the only one though.

Matt Jones and Chris Thompson had solid seasons at the running back position despite not being popular picks in most fantasy drafts. Jones won’t be seen as a sleeper, but Thompson (as well as Keith Marshall) will get an okay amount of playing time, and will be on the board of most fantasy drafts extremely late.

Jordan Reed was a sleeper at the tight end position in 2015. He wasn’t exactly going in the late rounds, but there were quite a few tight ends before him, and he outplayed almost everyone at his position. This year, it’s Niles Paul that’s getting the sleeper tag. With all the talent at the tight end position for the Redskins, it’s easy to forget how good Paul was in 2014. Thanks to a gruesome injury last season, he’ll probably be available in the final round of most fantasy drafts, if you need a tight end snatch him up (via John Keim of ESPN).

Jamison Crowder was a deep sleeper that I am proud to brag about. Whenever anyone asked me last season which Redskins player should be taken late in a draft, I would go right to Crowder (and fellow Spinzone writer Jeremy Klump can attest to that).

With DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon still in the mix, as well as Josh Doctson joining the ranks as well, it’s a crowded bunch at receiver. In fact, there’s more weapons in the Redskins’ offense than seems necessary. Because of that, I’m giving it to Crowder again. That’s right, the guy who was a sleeper last season and burst onto the scene with 59 receptions, 604 yards, and two touchdowns, has found his way into the forgotten fantasy players well once again.

I’m going to go as far as saying that Crowder is the biggest sleeper on the Redskins’ roster. With all the pass catching targets around him, Crowder seems to have slipped back out of the minds of plenty of fantasy GMs. He’ll more than likely be around in the middle-late rounds of most fantasy drafts. That’s the perfect time to snatch up a slot receiver who’s going to give you five catches a game.
