Kansas City Chiefs

After punching the Raiders in the mouth twice last year, the Chiefs will head into the upcoming season without two key players on defense.

Sean Smith, the Chiefs former No. 1 cornerback, wears silver and black.

According to ESPN’s Adam Teicher, Justin Houston, Kansas City’s No. 1 pass-rusher will likely start the season on the physically unable to perform list, which puts him on the sidelines for at least six weeks.

The Chiefs defense that contributed to last year’s 11-game win streak will look different in Week 6 against the Raiders on the road.

However, quarterback Alex Smith’s efficiency paired with one of the best ground attacks in the league will keep the team competitive within the division. The Chiefs will push for a playoff spot late in the season.

Nonetheless, 11-game win streaks don’t happen often. With a key departure and injury on defense, it’s certainly not happening in consecutive years for the Chiefs.
