Jameis Winston has reportedly dropped around 20 pounds heading into training camp for his second season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Despite being the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, many expected Jameis Winston to go through the typical struggles as a rookie during his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Instead, Winston proved his doubters wrong by throwing for more than 4,000 yards to go along with 22 touchdown passes as a rookie and even managed to find the end zone six times with his legs.

After posting these types of numbers, expectations will be even higher for Winston heading into his sophomore season with Tampa Bay, and based off a recent Instagram photo, it appears the former Florida State star has been working extra hard this offseason.

According to ESPN reporter Jenna Laine, Winston’s father, Antonor Winston, recently discussed how his son has shed about 20 pounds–and it certainly shows in the Instagram photo displayed below.

What should get Buccaneers even more excited for the 2016 season is the photo was posted by Tim Grover–who has been working with Winston this offseason and is known for training Michael Jordan. Tampa Bay may have finished last in the NFC South last season, but there’s every reason to believe this team will improve on their 6-10 finish this year.

There were plenty of doubts and hesitations surrounding Winston at this point last year, but it’s clear this isn’t the same type of quarterback from one year ago. As crazy as it sounds, it appears Winston is fully focused on football and ready for an even bigger year in 2016 as he looks to get the Buccaneers back in the conversation of being contenders in the NFC South.
