#25. Andre “Bad Moon” Rison

The 5-time Pro Bowler and 3-time Second-Team All-Pro was known just as much for his off-the-field issues as he was for making big plays down the field. Remember when TLC’s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes torched his mansion? Yeah. When Andre was with the Atlanta Falcons, his proclivity for finding trouble led Chris Berman to give him the nickname Andre “Bad Moon” Rison, a reference to the Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Bad Moon Rising”. According to the song’s writer John Fogerty, the singer was inspired to write it after watching the hurricane scene in the film “The Devil and Daniel Webster”.

#24. “Breesus” Drew Brees

New Orleans Saints fans gave the former San Diego Charger the nickname “Breesus” during the 2009 season, viewing Drew as a savior. Brees led the league in passing touchdowns, completion percentage, and QB rating that season as he threw the team formerly known as The ‘Aints to the first Super Bowl appearance and first Super Bowl win in franchise history. The nickname popped up on all kinds of merchandise including a “WWBD – What Would Breesus Do?” t-shirt. The moniker is an upgrade over his previous tag earlier in his career, “Cool Brees”.
