The Countdown to Kickoff series continues on with a look at ridiculously talented Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson.

There are exactly 15 days until the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers open up the 2016 NFL regular season with a Super Bowl rematch. As we continue to countdown to kickoff, today we are taking an extended look at Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson

The Countdown to Kickoff series began with a look at  San Diego Chargers’ No. 99 Joey Bosa, and has continued on everyday since (check out all of the posts here).

There are some talented NFL receivers who wear number 15. Brandon Marshall, Michael Crabtree, Golden Tate and Michael Floyd stood out as strong choices, but not as THE choice.

Let’s take a look at Jacksonville Jaguars talented wide receiver Allen Robinson.

Last year, Robinson broke onto the scene in a big way. In his second NFL season, Robinson caught 80 passes for an even 1400 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns.

He became a major part of a suddenly explosive Jaguars’ offense last season and appears primed to do more of the same in 2016. Robinson has already been incredible this preseason, making difficult catches on the regular like this:

And this:

The 6-foot-3, 218-pound Robinson has become one of the most talented players at his position in the NFL. He has the speed to make plays deep, great route-running efficiency and the athleticism to consistently make plays in the air.

Robinson is an athletic freak with insane ability and upside at the position. However, there is more to his game than simply speed, size and athleticism. Most notably, Robinson’s ability to track the ball in the air and make plays along the sideline are second-to-none.

He shows an incredible knack for putting himself in the best position to make a play on the deep ball, while also having sweet feet along the boundary. Make no mistake about it, Robinson is a talented and also stable wide receiver who is among the best in the NFL.

Led by Robinson and quarterback Blake Bortles, the Jaguars put together a strong passing attack last season. The 256.8 passing yards per game last season was the 10th best average in the entire NFL. Not bad for such a young and inexperienced offense.

With Bortles, Robinson and fellow receiver Allen Hurns all having the primes of their career directly ahead of them, the Jaguars’ already impressive passing attack is only likely to get better.

Bortles was great last season, but he did struggle with consistency. However, with another year under his belt, the Jaguars’ quarterback should only improve in 2016. This means that Robinson has a great chance to improve on his already incredible numbers from last season.

90-plus receptions for a league-leading receiving yardage total is completely within the realm of possibility. He is an incredibly talented receiver who also has an incredible knack for playing the position.

In a strong offensive unit, there is not a limit of what Robinson can accomplish.
