DeMarco Murray put on his acrobat shoes in Week 1, flipping into the end zone to score his first touchdown with the Titans

Coming into the 2016 NFL season, the Tennessee Titans boasted about the style they’d play this season. With the additions of DeMarco Murray and rookie Derrick Henry, the Titans planned to run it right at the opposition. That makes more than enough sense given the new personnel. However, it was the veteran running back in Murray that turned smash-mouth into a more acrobatic affair in Week 1.

With the Titans already ahead of the Minnesota Viking by a field goal, Marcus Mariota had the team in the red zone. Rather than taking a shot to the end zone, though, he looked for Murray out in the flat. The former Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles back found some room and headed to the goal line. When Vikings defenders stepped up to try and stop him, though, Murray had other plans.

The Tennessee running back took off and somersaulted into the end zone for six points, his first touchdown of his Titans tenure. Talk about finding your way into the highlight reel right away.

If Murray is going to be making plays like this consistently, everybody watch out for this Titans team.

Many people are excited about Tennessee heading into 2016 and rightfully so. Their plethora of young talent is undeniable. However, it could be a veteran addition like a DeMarco Murray that could make their bright future arrive sooner than expected.
