The newest Atlanta Falcons receiver in Mohamed Sanu didn’t waste any time making an impact, pulling down an amazing touchdown catch.

After a disappointing 2015 season, the Atlanta Falcons come into 2016 looking to reverse their fortunes. One player that they added on offense that they hope will help with that is receiver Mohamed Sanu. Playing opposite Julio Jones, Sanu could very well bolster the Atlanta passing attack in a big way. If you needed any proof of that, the veteran receiver gave the Falcons just that early in their Week 1 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Matt Ryan and the Falcons drove down the field with relative ease with the game tied 3-3. He led them into the red zone and set his sights on the end zone. That’s where Sanu was when Ryan called his number. The quarterback fired a bullet into the back of the end zone at the new addition to the offense. Sanu then made an incredible play to not only go up and make the catch, but then artfully tap both feet in the back of the end zone for the score.

What a way to announce your presence with a new team if you’re Mohamed Sanu:

That’s just a veteran effort in every regard. Ryan put that ball where only his guy could make the grab. Then Sanu came up big and made the play on the ball to put six points on the board.

Ryan and the Falcons offense were inconsistent at times last season. While this is a young Bucs defense they’re facing in Week 1, it’s clear they have something to prove.
