Terrance Williams Costs Dallas Cowboys Possible Win vs Giants
The Dallas Cowboys were within striking distance of getting into position to score a game-winning field goal. Unfortunately for America’s Team, wide receiver Terrance Williams cost them this Week 1 game against the New York Giants.
For the first time since 2012, the Dallas Cowboys have lost a regular season game to the New York Giants at home. In a game that saw quarterback Dak Prescott live up to the hype, the Cowboys were threatening to do the unthinkable in a close game with their NFC East rivals.

With the game on the line, Prescott led the Cowboys’ offense in a hurry-up two-minute drill to try to squeeze out a victory via field goal. As always, Prescott was his usual calm, cool, and collective self and undoubtedly did his best to get his first win in the pros.
Prescott only had 1:05 in regulation time with no timeouts but he made the most out of the situation. With all eyes on him doing his best to replace the injured Tony Romo, he did his part, but unfortunately, wide receiver Terrance Williams didn’t.
Instead of running out of bounds when he had the chance to do so in this potential game-winning drive, he tried to be a hero and win the game on his own. Problem is, it was not only common sense but football sense that in a situation like that, you always run out of bounds to stop the clock.
Williams failed to do so and as time ran out, it left fans at AT&T Stadium with a bad taste in their mouths.
It was a frustrating situation since had he gone out of bounds, it could have set up the potential game-winning field goal for the Cowboys to leave this game victorious.
This was an all too familiar situation in that last season, the Cowboys always seemed to find ways to lose close games like this.
They had everything in place to prove the doubters wrong and send a huge message to the football world that they’d be just fine without Romo under center.
