Antonio Brown is burning defensive backs regularly, but he’s also leaving a mark on the backside of refs now, as well

The Washington Redskins have caught some flak for not shadowing Antonio Brown with high-priced cornerback Josh Norman. But the truth is that Norman just wouldn’t be quick enough to shadow the Pittsburgh Steelers star man. Simply put, nobody can cover the guy, because even when someone like Breeland puts tight coverage on him, Brown still makes the play.

On Monday night, Brown poured 126 yards and two touchdowns on 11 targets against the Redskins defense, catching a game-high eight passes. Eli Rogers had some time to make his mark, but this was clearly the “Antonio Brown Show.”

I mean, the Redskins should basically give FedEx Field to Brown, considering he thrusted all over their end zone after roasting their entire defensive backfield. Before that, he turned a fourth-and-one play into a 29-yard touchdown.

If you thought Brown’s Hingle McCringleberry impersonation was gold, wait until you see how he treated the ref near the end of the game.

The ref’s reaction is priceless. It looks like Brown put a little too much pepper into that slap, but it doesn’t seem like the ref was mad at it. Since Brown was penalized earlier for a slightly provocative celebration and the NFL isn’t exactly known for being a laid-back league, it’s good the ref took this in stride.
