. Tennessee Titans. 29. player. 35.
Well the hype around the Tennessee Titans didn’t last long. This was supposed to be an improved team. After adding DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry at running back the Titans were primed to be a different team on offense.

These two powerful runners joined a talented young quarterback in Marcus Mariota. However, they also decided to trade arguably their most talented receiver and it seemed to cost them.

Minnesota was able to zero in on their runners and as a result the Titans managed only 64 yards on 22 carries for the day. With an average of just 2.9 yards per rush they had to throw way more than they wanted.

Their two runners looked much more adept at catching the ball as Murray had 35 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Henry added 41 yards receiving which made up for his three yard debut as a running back.

Turnovers were an issue as well as Mariota threw a pick which was run back for a score. He also had a fumble brought in for a touchdown as well and Murray added a third turnover with his lost fumble (an issue which has plagued Murray for years now). That’s simply not winning football.
.
