New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had an interesting offseason. The Jets and him argued for a very long time on a contract that was fair for both sides. The argument got so rough that Fitzpatrick almost retired from the game instead of playing for what the Jets had offered him.

Interestingly enough, the Jets were the only team that really wanted him, so I thought it was odd how the situation played out.

Both sides decided to be fair with one another and meet somewhere they both felt was solid. Fitzpatrick re-signed and Jets fans rejoiced that their season wasn’t over. Fitzpatrick needed to make sure he made the fans happy by playing well, but he didn’t do too hot on Sunday.

Fitzpatrick only threw for 189 yards, or 27th best in the NFL. He did throw two touchdowns in the game, but he threw an interception at the end of the game. That interception highlighted the poor game he played and is the exact reason he sits at No. 22.
