As a rookie, Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill set the league on fire. After struggling in Year 2, he’s making a statement in Week 3 vs Denver

Through the first two weeks of the season, it seemed like Jeremy Hill would prove some bullish fantasy experts wrong by merely continuing his subpar rookie campaign. While Hill punched in a touchdown in Week 1 against the New York Jets, he averaged just 2.7 yards per carry in his first two games.

Today against the best defense in the NFL– in case you were wondering, I am talking about the Denver Broncos—Hill looks like a reinvigorated star in his third season.

After ripping off a 50-yard run earlier in the game that set up a third-yard touchdown run, Hill showed off his bruising rushing style yet again by adding a second touchdown score to the board.

With this TD run, Hill has now given the Cincinnati Bengals a 14-10 lead over the Broncos, and it will be interesting to see how the Broncos offense responds. Hill stayed patient on this run before easily picking up the four yards necessary for the touchdown.

Currently on 85 rushing yards on 11 carries, Hill looks like the best player on the field today, though Emmanuel Sanders has also been excellent.

Next: The Browns Are Not Cursed

Hill, who had 20 rushing touchdowns in his first two seasons, now has three touchdowns through three weeks in 2016. The Bengals will continue to ride the running game against the Broncos elite secondary, because while they’ve carried the rock 17 times, they’ve thrown it just eight times. Even more interesting is the fact that just three players have caught passes, whereas four players have carried the rock today.
