Latavius Murray Burns Titans with Huge, Explosive Touchdown (Video)
Some fans tend to forget just how explosive Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray is, but the man reminded us of his talent with an excellent touchdown run against the Tennessee Titans.
After upsetting the Detroit Lions with a last-gasp win, the Titans came into today’s game against the Oakland Raiders with plenty of confidence. Heck, they even struck first with a field goal, but their lead didn’t last for long.
On first-and-10 at the Tennessee 22, Latavius Murray took the handoff from franchise quarterback Derek Carr, and he steamrolled right through the Titans usually-solid front seven. Murray saw his elite offensive line produce a huge hole, he picked up a head of steam, and he shed the safety’s embarrassingly weak tackle attempt.
The result was a touchdown for Murray, and it looked way too easy. In fact, this marks the third straight game in which Murray has scored a touchdown, and people need to realize that he is one of the NFL’s best backs at finding the end zone.
Murray is an underrated asset in fantasy football, and even though the Raiders backfield is crowded, he is by far the best touchdown-threat on the roster. The likes of DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard will steal carries, but I doubt either of those two can make plays like this one with the consistency that Murray does.

His size/speed combination is more important to the Raiders offense than some think, and Murray’s average of 5.3 yards per carry on the season cannot go underrated either.
His other carry today didn’t go for any yards, but the Raiders would still be wise to keep giving him touches. Murray only earned 22 carries heading into Week 3, and I’d like to see slightly more work on his end going forward.
