Seahawks at Jets Recap, Highlights, Final Score, More
Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks went on the road and took it to the New York Jets in Week 4
Today was another story of the New York Jets offense not able to capitalize when the game was still in doubt. The first half showed us a Jets’ team that looked like they were going to be competitive in this one. The defense held up, holding the Seahawks to 14 points in the first half, and scoring late on a touchdown to Brandon Marshall to keep it close. Ryan Fitzpatrick played an efficient half and it seemed as if he had put the debacle in Kansas City behind him. The game was set up for a great finish.
But in the second half, it went sideways for New York. The turning point came as the Jets were driving, down by seven points, 17-10. Fitzpatrick attempted a back shoulder pass to his favorite target, Marshall. Richard Sherman made a great play to anticipate it and pick the pass off. It didn’t take long for the Seahawks to open the lead to 24-10 and the Jets didn’t really challenge the rest of the way. They scored on the bizarre fumble recovery by Charon Peake, but they weren’t taking the game back.

The story of this one was Russell Wilson. He entered the game with an ankle and a knee problem. It didn’t seem like he could run around like usual, but he was as pinpoint accurate with the football as he ever has been. 23-of-32 is a fantastic output for the young man and shows everyone why he is one of the top-tier quarterbacks in this league.
Give the Jets’ defense a bit of credit; until the interception to Sherman, they had the Jets in the game. It was a one-score game until that play. The short field, combined with an offense that was coming up short all day, tired them out, and there it went.
The Seahawks run their record to 3-1, while the Jets drop to 1-3.
Three Stars
Russell Wilson, Seahawks — This was quite the gutty performance by a banged up quarterback. He went 23-of-32 for 309 yards and three touchdowns.
Jimmy Graham, Seahawks — Graham looked like the Graham of old, bringing in six passes for 113 yards, his second straight 100 yard game, and one touchdown.
Quincy Enunwa, Jets — Enunwa once again showed that he is a rising star in this league. He entered the game as the Jets’ leading receiver, and put up six more catches for 60 yards today.
