The Dallas Cowboys won at home on Sunday afternoon, letting the Cincinnati Bengals know “Who Dey,” was and getting their fourth-straight win.

14. 56. Final. 28. 123

The biggest play for the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5 that pretty much seal the fate of the CincinnatiBengals came with nine seconds left in the third quarter when Elliott rushed for a 60-yard touchdown, untouched, straight through the Cincinnati defense. The run gave Dallas a 28-0 lead. And from there the Cowboys were able to cruise to a victory.

The first three quarters were pretty much all Cowboys, as well, with Elliott having two touchdowns in that time frame (a 13-yard touchdown run in the first quarter). Other scores in the first half were a 5-yard touchdown run by Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott and a 14-yard touchdown from Prescott to Cole Beasley through the air.

Even with all of the offense, the defense of the Cowboys was excellent as well. The Bengals didn’t gain their points until the fourth quarter when the game was basically settled. Cincinnati was 5-of-12 on third down, totaling 345 yards of offense.

Dallas’ defense totaled four sacks, but had no interceptions. One very big positive of the Cowboys defense was they had an excellent pass rush, something that has been needed this season. They didn’t allow 100 yards of rushing either. Cincinnati didn’t have a 100-yard receiver, but both of their touchdown receptions came from Brandon LaFell.

The Cowboys finished with 402 yards of offense, with Elliott leading the way with 134 yards rushing.

Three Stars

Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys — The rookie running back had his most impressive game as a pro. The rookie not only had a 60-yard touchdown run, but finished with 15 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns. He also finished with three receptions for 37 yards. This was Elliott’s third-straight game of over 130 yards rushing, becoming just the third rookie to do so.

Dak Prescott, Cowboys — Another rookie had another excellent day for the Cowboys, that being Prescott. He was 18-of-24 for 227 yards with one touchdown pass. He played poised, didn’t throw an interception (he has zero interceptions in five starts), and showed if he’s not the present of the Cowboys, he’s sure the future of this team at quarterback.

Brandon LaFell, Bengals — For the Bengals, their top player was LaFell, who scored their lone two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. He finished with eight receptions for 68 yards, with his longest catch being 14 yards.
