New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made amends with the kicking net after scoring his first touchdown of the 2016 NFL season
The level of scrutiny that New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been under in recent weeks is mind-numbing. Every single bit of emotion that he’s shown, he’s been criticized for. However, he did look like a bit of a buffoon two weeks ago when he had an outburst on the sideline. He flipped out and slammed his helmet into the kicking net on the Giants sideline. As a result, the net fell on top of him. Thus, the biggest NFL feud of 2016 was born.
However, just as gloriously as it came to is, the beef was squashed on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.
As the Giants were trying to come back from a deficit against the Green Bay Packers, Eli Manning found Odell Beckham Jr. in the end zone for a wonderful catch. It was also OBJ’s first touchdown of 2016:
However, that was far from the best part. After finally getting into the end zone, the maligned Giants receiver went over to the Giants kicking net. He then proceeded to give it a hug and the two made up after their public feud.

Say what you want about his maturity and everything else that’s been under criticism, but at least Beckham can have some fun with the narrative. That’s an absolutely genius moment in NFL comedy. Now he just has to avoid getting into any more beefs with equipment.
