DeMarco Murray Houses First Carry From 75 Yards Out (Video)

DeMarco Murray barely let the Tennessee Titans offense do anything, taking his first carry for 75 yards and a touchdown.

The Tennessee Titans probably imagined a more promising start than what actually happened in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers. Kicker Ryan Succop tried to onside kick the first boot of the game and failed, thus giving the Pack great field position. However, the defense held strong and the Titans got the ball on a touchback. Then, it was time for DeMarco Murray to go to work.

Apparently Murray doesn’t get paid by the hour. He worked hard and his work was effective, but it took almost no time for the veteran running back to get it done and keep going.

On his first carry from scrimmage on Sunday afternoon, Marcus Mariota gave the big back a simple handoff, but a huge hole opened up to the left. Murray busted through that and was seemingly untouched all the way down the field. 75 yards later, he was standing in the end zone with a smooth, quick, and easy Titans touchdown:

And to think, he was averaging 75 yards per carry to start against the No. 1 ranked run defense in the NFL. Not too shabby there for Murray.

Though some fans and people around the league were confused when they made the deal to acquire Murray, the move has paid dividends for Tennessee. The veteran back has been a revelation for their running game and given them an identity to keep working towards succeeding with.
