LeSean McCoy’s thumb hasn’t affected his wheels as he busted through the Jaguars defense and scampered 75 yards for a Buffalo Bills touchdown.
There were questions throughout the week around the Buffalo Bills about whether or not LeSean McCoy would play. The veteran running back dislocated his thumb last week and was questionable to take the field in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He wound up giving it a go, though. And to start the second half, he made the Bills look quite smart for making that decision.
After a disappointing first half, the Bills trailed the Jaguars 7-6 at halftime. The Jags kicked it into the end zone for a touchback to start the second half. Tyrod Taylor got under center at the Buffalo 25-yard line and gave the rock the Shady McCoy. The running back then made some magic happen.
Patiently awaiting the holes in the middle of the line to open, McCoy saw his opening and went through it. In tight space, he made a couple of defenders miss before turning on the burners. He then simply blew past another pair of Jacksonville defenders serving as the last line of defense. 75 yards later, McCoy has a touchdown and had given the Bills the lead:

75 yard TD?
YES, PLEASE. #GoBills #JAXvsBUF https://t.co/DVuzK4KVBG
Oddly enough, thumb injuries don’t take away Shady’s ability to make people miss and then burn them.

As crazy as it seems, the 75-yard touchdown run was the longest of LeSean McCoy’s career and it was quite impressive. Whenever he gets even the slightest chance to make someone miss, the veteran back is so dangerous. The Jaguars learned that the hard way and trailed because of it.
