Tyreek Hill returned a free kick off of a safety for an 86-yard touchdown return, high-fiving teammate De’Anthony Thomas while still on the run.

To say that the explosiveness in the first half between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos was limited doesn’t do it justice. Alex Smith wasn’t throwing the ball further than three yards downfield while Trevor Siemian couldn’t breathe without getting lit up by a pass-rush. It was bad times all around, but the latter actually resulted in the first points of the game.

Finally returned star edge-rusher, Justin Houston, came up huge for the Chiefs on defense. He put up three sacks in roughly 20 minutes of play, but his third was the biggest. He drug Siemian down in the end zone, who then fumbled and recovered to eat the safety. Kansas City took an exhilarating 2-0 lead. Excitement and awesomeness (and friendship) would soon follow though.

On the free kick, the Chiefs put rookie Tyreek Hill and teammate De’Anthony Thomas back to field it. If you didn’t know, both of these guys are among the fastest players in the entirety of the NFL. So when Hill got the kick and found space on the right sideline, there was no one on the field catching him—well, except for Thomas.

While Hill dazzled on the 86-yard kick return touchdown, Thomas caught up to his teammate and the two youngsters high-fived while still running the return back and before getting into the end zone:

And for those who love good bros playing football together, a GIF of the high-five:

Obviously that’s fantastic special teams work for Hill, but the highlight really is the high-five.

That high-five might be the biggest in-game troll that we’ve seen in quite some time in the NFL. Essentially what Hill and Thomas are rubbing in the Broncos’ faces (besides six points) is that they are the only two players on the field that can keep that pace. That’s a double burn to the Broncos, but a hilarious one nonetheless from KC’s special teams speedsters.
