Usually, Thursday games mean that teams are on short rest. However, both the Cowboys and the Vikings played on Thursday last week as part of the three Thanksgiving games. Early on in the season, it looked like the Cowboys and Vikings were going to be destined to clash in the postseason.

Despite losing Teddy Bridgewater to a season-ending knee injury just prior to the start of the season, the Vikings got off to a great start. Led by a great defense, the Vikings were able to start the season 5-0.

Since then, the Vikings offense has fallen apart and they have been relying heavily on their defense to produce points for them. With a lack of weapons in the passing game, Bradford has been struggling recently. In addition to the passing offense being mediocre, the Vikings rushing attack is one of the worst in the league.

The Vikings are still 6-5 and very much in contention in the NFC North, but this is a team trending in the wrong direction.

For the Cowboys, they are without a doubt the hottest team in the NFL. Since losing to the New York Giants by one point in Week 1, the Cowboys have ripped off 10-straight wins. The rookie backfield of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott has provided the Cowboys with a bright future behind a dominant offensive line.

The matchup of the Cowboys offense against the Vikings defense will be a fun one. But, the Vikings poor offense will likely hold them back in this game. Finally, with both teams very much in the NFC playoff picture, it should be a fun game in Minnesota on Thursday night.
