Ridiculous Lardarius Webb Interception Saves Touchdown (Video)
Baltimore Ravens safety Lardarius Webb came up with a near-impossible interception to keep the Miami Dolphins from scoring.
Lardarius Webb has been making plays at safety for the Baltimore Ravens for many years at this point. Though he’s had his troubles with injuries and ineffectiveness in recent years, he’s still a playmaker capable of showing flashes. In Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins, the veteran Webb undoubtedly showed one of those flashes with an incredible effort.
After the Ravens opened up an early lead thanks to a rare offensive flurry from Joe Flacco, Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins were driving and trying to answer. In Baltimore territory, Tannehill turned his sights to the end zone and his young stud receiver, DeVante Parker.
Tannehill uncorked a wonderful deep ball down the right sideline to parker that was a dime to drop in the front right-corner of the end zone. Instead, Webb bolted across the back end of the field and essentially took the ball right out of the wideout’s hands while diving and somehow staying inbounds for a crazy interception:
There’s so much to like about the play the Ravens safety makes here. The recognition to see the pass and get to the spot, the speed to get there, and then the catch itself for the pick are all wonderful.
