Someone Might Need to Tell This Raiders Fan the Halftime Score (Photo)
The Oakland Raiders scored right before halftime was big, but they still trailed—apparently unbeknownst to at least one fan of the Silver and Black.
After a forgettable second quarter in which their defense conceded 21 points, the Oakland Raiders got a bit of momentum on their side. Derek Carr led a nice drive at the end of the second quarter to make the score 21-10 going into halftime against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Without question, it was a big play. The Raiders offense was anemic for the entirety of the first half, but finally got into a bit of rhythm. Moreover, this is an Oakland team that has absolutely been dominant in second halves this season. So giving them any kind of momentum like that was absolutely enormous.
Yet, they still went into halftime trailing. However, that might be news to at least one Raiders fan. After the touchdown by Latavius Murray, the cameras cut to the crowd and showed one fan in Silver and Black get hype—and then get in the face of a Chiefs fan:
First of all, hats off to that Chiefs fan for being absolutely stoic during this. That fan is clearly trying to get a reaction and he looks like Michaelangelo’s “David” out here.
As for the yelling Raiders fan, you’ve got to know the situation. Not only are you a visiting fan, but your team had been absolutely waxed in the first half up to that point. That’s not a good look for you or for your team. Then again, Raiders fans did clean out an entire plane of booze on a flight to KC. So maybe this guy was on that aircraft and didn’t even know there was a score.
