Brock Osweiler Throwing Into Triple Coverage Ended Predictably (Video)

Brock Osweiler again proved to be a burden for the Houston Texans as he threw into triple coverage and, of course, got picked off.

The many woes of Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler have been widely noted throughout the 2016 NFL season. Houston made him a $72 million man when they signed him in free agency this offseason and he’s done nothing but disappoint. Between his mechanics, his body language, and everything else, it’s been his decision-making that’s been his worst attribute. On Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, that showed up again in an obvious way.

With a huge AFC South matchup tied at 3-3 in the first half, Osweiler dropped back with heavy protection around him. He had all day to survey the field, make a good decision, and then plant to make a good throw.

Instead, Osweiler stared down his tight end on a cross to the left sideline. He then waited until his desired target then got into triple coverage before making the throw, because that’s apparently the way that Brock Osweiler plays football. As you’d expect, the throw was picked off by linebacker Akeem Ayers:

What is he even doing with this throw. I’m not an NFL quarterback. I don’t have pass-rushers getting into my face. However, that is obvious triple coverage and Osweiler still stared down his man and threw the pass.

Frankly, it’s almost too easy to troll Osweiler and the Texans at this point. He’s been atrocious all season and it just seems to keep getting worst. So in a game where Houston could make noise with their lead in the AFC South, he’s making throws like this.
