The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired head coach Gus Bradley following their Week 15 loss.

Gus Bradley had every opportunity to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars to their third victory of the 2016 regular season in Week 15. They held a lead over the struggling Houston Texans for most of the game. Hell, their defense played well enough that it was the Jaguars that finally got Brock Osweiler benched in favor of Tom Savage.

But again, the Jaguars found a way to lose. On Sunday, they lost by way of blowing a 13-0 lead and allowing the go-ahead touchdown with under three minutes left. Blake Bortles and Jacksonville then turned the ball over on downs and threw an interception in the time remaining to take the loss hard.

Apparently, the front office had finally seen enough.

After dropping to 2-12 on the season and with nothing going in their favor, the Jacksonville Jaguars elected to fire head coach Gus Bradley following the loss. It was first reported by several local beat guys, but later confirmed by the team:

In just shy of four full seasons in Jacksonville, Bradley accrued a record of just 14-48. What’s more, he failed to reach more than five wins in any of the five seasons. It’s been a dismal time for the organization and Bradley was once thought to be the guy that would pull them out of it.

Whether it’s been the fault of dealing with an incompetent Blake Bortles or the just the fact that Gus Bradley isn’t a quality NFL head coach, though, things have only seemingly gotten more desperate for the Jaguars. Now they’re left back at square one, trying to figure out what’s next in the wake of this latest move.
