Jeremy Hill Rips Terrible Towel, Spikes It After Touchdown (Video)

There’s no love lost between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers, and that apparently extends to Jeremy Hill and Terrible Towels

If you happen to tune into the NFL Playoffs last season, there’s a good chance that you saw a quality indication of the feelings shared between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers. That game devolved into a near free-for-all, which isn’t what you ever want to see no matter the rivalry. In Week 15 of the 2016 regular season, Bengals running back Jeremy Hill gave us a bit more like what we like to see as fans.

Despite the Steelers leading the division and Cincinnati having struggled mightily this season, the Bengals stormed out of the gate at home. They jumped out to a 10-3 lead and then went right back to work. After a solid drive from the offense, Hill got the ball and went to work. Though this season hasn’t been remarkable from the running back, he’s had a nose for the end zone and did so again on this carry.

However, Jeremy Hill wasn’t about to stop there. After running through the painted area, he went up to the crowd and took a visiting fan’s Terrible Towel. The LSU product was having none of that in Paul Brown Stadium. He then proceeded to rip the Steelers homage and then spike it to celebrate his score.

That’s everything and more that you could want from a touchdown celebration. Not only is he hyped from the score, but he’s also obviously aware of who he put up six points on.

In a rivalry game such as that, you want players to react like Hill did. It adds to the intrigue and emotion of it all. It also does those things without taking away the sanctity of the game like the fighting and brawling from last year’s playoffs. In short, everyone take a play out of Hill’s book. Maybe don’t rip all of the Terrible Towels, but you get the point.
