With reports New England Patriots Rob Gronkowski racked up a $102,000 bar tab (which he denied) the question has to be asked: Is he out of control?

Rob Gronkowski has denied that he and his crew forked out a bar tab of over $102,000. The problem is that the New England Patriots tight end is such a well-known party boy that no one really bothered to question the validity of such a claim. Most responses were probably something along the line of “that’s typical Gronk.”

While the large tab is in question, what’s not being debated is the fact that Gronkowski is still behaving like a frat boy despite being in the NFL for seven years.

Taking the bar incident out, there have been countless stories of Gronk partying. Whether it’s on his party cruise, or after a Super Bowl loss, or win — which he missed due to injury — Gronk has often been seen with a beer (or any drink) in his hand.

Each time he does something like this, it’s all excused. However, look back to the Johnny Manziel issues with partying (legal incidents aside) and see what happened there. Johnny Football was also seen as a party boy that wouldn’t grow up and everyone bashed him for that — with good reason. He’s since gone to rehab and tried to turn his life around, but Gronk is still being Gronk and no one seems to care.

It all flies in the face of the “Patriot Way” mantra in which everyone in that building is supposed to be a professional. Gronkowski is nothing of the sort, and the question has to be asked if he’s not really living the dream as many of his fans think, but is he simply out of control.

Eventually his partying off the field will become too much for a team that’s already winning championships while he’s sidelined. Gronk can deny the latest rumor, but the truth is his act will eventually wear thin on the business-first Patriots.
