We’ve seen some creative posts from the Cleveland Browns social media team before, but they took things a step further for World Emoji Day.

The social media departments of NFL teams have been getting more and more entertaining in recent years. Teams have been having fun on sites like Twitter, and the fans have certainly benefited.

The Cleveland Browns definitely understand how to enjoy social media. Last year, for example, the someone in the social media department expertly trolled the NFL and its new social media policy by posting a homemade highlight video:

The fun-loving Browns obviously haven’t let the offseason stop them from having fun on Twitter either. For World Emoji Day on July 17, the team posted some unique Browns artwork on Twitter:

If you zoom in closely on the images here, you can see the pictures have been created with well-placed emojis. Sure, it certainly seems that someone had too much time on their hands, but the post is a terrific reminder that sports teams don’t have to take everything too seriously.

There will be plenty of time for seriousness once training camp starts later this month. After all, with the additions of three first-round rookies and more overall talent, there are high hopes for this team.

No, fans are aren’t going to mistake the Browns for a playoff team or contender in 2017. However, this is a team with more hope looking ahead to next season and beyond than they have in years past. Their plan is starting to take form, and the talent is starting to pour in.
