Fantasy Football 2017: So you want to wait on quarterbacks?
By Dan Thomas
3. Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills
Fantasy Football Calculator ADP: 13.10
Every time Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor steps on the field he has the ability to be a top-five fantasy quarterback due to his ability to run the ball. Last year, Taylor led all quarterbacks in rushing attempts (95) and rushing yards (580) and tied for the most rushing touchdowns (6). In 2015 he was second among all quarterbacks in both rushing attempts (104) and rushing yards (568) while also chipping in four rushing touchdowns.
Taylor, who was the eighth-best fantasy quarterback last year, could be even more dangerous in 2017.
During the 2017 NFL Draft, the Bills spent a second-round pick on East Carolina wide receiver Zay Jones. He is Division I’s all-time leader in receptions in a single season (158) and in a career (399). Jones should open the season as the team’s No. 2 wide receiver opposite of Sammy Watkins.
If Watkins (who only played in eight games last season) can stay healthy, Tyrod will be surrounded by the best set of weapons he’s ever had in Buffalo. Combine that with his ability to the run the ball and Taylor has a high ceiling every week.
