Rookie quarterback Dak Prescott came in right away and played out of his mind. During the process, he was also a solid QB1 in fantasy football. Last season, Prescott finished as the sixth-best fantasy quarterback. I honestly can’t make up my mind what was the most impressive stat he had last season.
Was it his six rushing touchdowns which tied for the most among all quarterbacks? Was it his 67.8 percent completion rate? Maybe it was the fact he threw just four interceptions compared to 23 touchdowns? Either way, the poise and play of the rookie was impressive.
Going into this season. the Cowboys bring back virtually the same core of players they had on the offensive side of the ball including All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant. Prescott, who can get it done with both his arm and legs, should be a QB1 for the second consecutive year. With the Cowboys defense looking like a candidate to take a step back in 2017, Prescott should have more opportunities to throw the ball and/or run with the football.
