It looks at though Los Angeles Chargers receiver Mike Williams will miss the preseason, but here are three reasons why you don’t need to be worried.

As if moving to another city wasn’t hard enough for this football team, it was announced that the Los Angeles Chargers 2017 first-round draft pick will miss the entire preseason. Former Clemson Tigers wide receiver Mike Williams is currently struggling with a back injury that just seems to be lingering around. It’s definitely not ideal, but hopefully this next month will give him time to fully heal.

As far as the announcement from the team, take a look at the report from Kevin Patra from NFL.com:

"The Los Angeles Chargers announced Sunday the rookie receiver is not expected to practice during training camp after being placed on the active/physically unable to perform list. Williams met team doctors on Saturday. Williams has yet to catch a single pass from quarterback Philip Rivers during workouts since being selected No. 7 overall in the draft. Williams has progressed after dealing with a herniated disc suffered earlier this offseason with GM Tom Telesco saying on Thursday that Williams was “responding well.”"

Again, this isn’t the best case scenario for the Chargers’ first round draft pick, but this will be the best thing for him. The last thing Williams needs it to play through a nagging injury, before even stepping foot onto an NFL field. He is definitely going to be a huge part of this offense going forward, but he can’t do that without being healthy.

That being said, here are three reasons why you shouldn’t panic about Mike Williams.
