The Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins will be meeting up on the gridiron this Thursday night, as both teams will be playing in their first preseason game of 2017. We already know that both team’s will only let their starters played a few series, therefore this match-up will definitely come down to whose depth can take over the football game.
While winning and losing in the preseason doesn’t matter whatsoever, it can give fans a glimpse of what kind of roster they will have moving forward. As usual, you will see many guys stepping onto an NFL field for the first time, as they will be looking to make the 53-man rosters. That being said, expect to see many mental-errors on Thursday night.
In regards to Falcons and Dolphins, these two franchises are in two totally different places right now. Atlanta is coming off a crushing loss in Super Bowl 51, while the Dolphins just lost their starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a knee injury last week. Whereas the Dirty Birds have the 2016 MVP under center, Miami has turned to veteran quarterback Jay Cutler to right the ship.

The Dolphins’ franchise has struggled to find consistency at quarterback since Dan Marino, but they have no other choice than to trust Cutler in 2017.
