The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, Aug. 17 in the NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The two running games should be something to watch in this NFL preseason matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars. Although the Buccaneers scored only 12 points in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last Friday, there were some positives to take away from the game.

Charles Sims led the team in the rushing department with 23 yards on three carries in the contest, averaging 7.7 yards per carry. He was one of seven Buccaneer backs to gain at least 10 yards on the ground. If anything, that showcased the team’s depth and stability at the position.

Against the New England Patriots last Thursday, the Jaguars found success in the running game as well. It was the first time NFL fans got to see rookie running back Leonard Fournette, the powerful LSU product.

Rushing for 31 yards on nine carries, he also added a touchdown on the day. Perhaps the biggest story in the running game for Jacksonville was third-year man Corey Grant. Rushing the ball eight times for 120 yards, he averaged 15 yards per carry in the day.

It will be interesting to see who will step up for both teams on the ground Thursday. What’s more, these are two teams looking for depth, and we’ll get a look at these players in the preseason matchup.
