It’s only a pair of preseason games for both the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers. But Chuck Pagano’s team is still looking for a win while Mike Tomlin’s squad has knocked off a pair of 2016 NFC playoff teams in the New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons.

What does it all mean? Not much…until now. It’s preseason game number three for these squads. That means that we’ll see starters — for the most part — and that we’ll get a better idea of what both the Steelers and Colts look like this season.

For the first time this year, we will see Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver Antonio Brown. We could also see outside linebacker James Harrison, who sat out the first two games while rookie T.J. Watt runs around the field.

As for the Colts, there’s still no sign of starting quarterback Andrew Luck, who remains on the physically-unable-to-perform list. There’s been speculation that the five-year pro might not even be ready by the time the club opens the season against the Los Angeles Rams. As for this game, though, it’ll be Scott Tolzien again at the helm for Indy.

Finally, one thing we did learn over the last few days is that we won’t see Pittsburgh Steelers’ running back in this contest or the team’s meeting with the Carolina Panthers next Thursday. Instead, the unsigned Pro Bowler hinted that he will return to the team one day later on Sept. 1.
