1. Their biggest issues are still at quarterback

He gets a pass because he has two Super Bowl rings, but quarterback Eli Manning has played really poorly this preseason. He seems to be regressing quite a bit, and it should cause some concern. The team fired Tom Coughlin as head coach and promoted Ben McAdoo, in large part because of his relationship with Manning. The belief was the former offensive coordinator could get the most out of Manning.

Instead, they looked like a Coughlin team trying to win with tenacious defense and having to make up for a guy who goes through spells of inadequacy and ill-timed interceptions. There’s a chance it’s all just part of the preseason process working through things, but it may not be.

Manning failed to throw a touchdown pass in this one, and of course had his usual interception. He’s one of the more careless people with the ball, and behind him nothing inspires any confidence.
