The Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars squared off in the last game of the 2017 preseason. Here’s a look at the three takeaways from the game.

Well, my favorite time of the year has finally arrived, as the fourth week of the 2017 preseason is now over. Both the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars can start trimming their rosters down to 53 men and start focusing on their week one matchups of the regular season.

While this may have been the least exciting week of the preseason yet, there were still some great performances to watch on Thursday night, especially with a plethora of players fighting for a chance to make a 53-man roster.

In case you didn’t have a chance to catch the game on TV, neither team had their stars on display for Thursday night’s action. There’s no reason for a starting football player in the NFL to suit up in a team’s last preseason game, which was exactly why the Falcons and Jaguars opted to sit most of their starters this week.

Even though the Jaguars and Falcons game only saw one offensive touchdown in the entire night, there were numerous guys who had their best game of August, hoping to climb up the team’s depth-chart.

With every NFL team having the deadline of 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon to make their final cuts, Thursday night was the last opportunity for roster-bubble players to make their final impression. That being said, take a look at three takeaways from the Falcons and Jaguars matchup on Thursday night.
