ESPN has released their record predictions for each team in the 2017 season and they have high expectations for the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Los Angeles Chargers have finally completed their 2017 preseason schedule and can now start focusing on their first regular season match-up against the Denver Broncos. Finishing 1-3 in the preseason definitely isn’t ideal, but everyone in the NFL is now 0-0, setting their sights towards a Vince Lombardi Trophy — okay, maybe everyone but the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Al kidding aside, there is a good bit of optimism surrounding the 2017 Chargers football team. They will be playing in Los Angeles for the very first time and have a ton of talent throughout their first-string units.

I have high expectations for them in 2017 and it seems as though the folks from ESPN do as well.

More from Los Angeles Chargers

Take a look at ESPN’s NFL Nation Reporters consensus predictions for the Chargers’ 2017 record:

"Los Angeles Chargers: 10-6“A late-season push results in a double-digit win total for the club’s initial season in L.A”"

When you take a look at the other AFC West team predictions for 2017, you’ll quickly realize that the Bolts will be right in the mix for a divisional title. The Chiefs are predicted to go 11-5, the Broncos 10-6 and the Raiders also at 10-6. That being said, winning divisional games will be extremely important in 2017 for Los Angeles.

Not to mention, it looks like ESPN has LA sitting on a Wild Card Berth.

According to their predictions, the Patriots would win the AFC East, the Steelers would win the AFC North, the Titans would win the AFC South and the Chiefs would win the AFC West. After the division winners, they have the Broncos, Chargers and Raiders fighting for the two Wild Card spots.

Needless to say, there are high expectations for the Chargers in 2017, which means the bar has been set higher than previous seasons. What a great time to be a football fan in Los Angeles.
