The Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears will be squaring off at Solider Field Sunday afternoon. Take a look at the weather report.
The Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears have a great opportunity to cheer up their beloved fans on Sunday afternoon in the Windy City, as 2017 regular season is only a few days away. While Falcons fans are expecting a win this weekend, nothing would make Bears fans more happy than a win to start the season.
That being said, we know how easily weather can affect the outcomes of football games, especially in the NFL. With Chicago having a history of tough football weather, the Falcons should be counting their blessings that they are traveling north in September, rather than December.
Take a look at the weather report for the Falcons and Bears matchup at Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon from the Weather Channel:

Forecast: Sunny
Temperature: High of 71 degrees
Wind: ESE 10 MPH
Precipitation: 10 percent chance
That sounds like great conditions for Week 1 of the regular season. The temperature seems moderate and the wind not too terrible in the Windy City.
Like I mentioned above, Atlanta should be thanking the NFL schedule-makers for when they had to travel to the Windy City. Chicago can become a huge freezer in the months of November and December. Not to mention, the Falcons have never performed well in cold temperatures in years past. Luckily, they avoid being tested in that regard.
Even though we’re still a few days out from the game, the forecast for Chicago doesn’t have much rain whatsoever. The highest predicted rain chance for this weekend is the 10 percent chance mentioned for Sunday afternoon.

Needless to say, I’m sure both quarterbacks are more than pleased to know they will have no issues gripping the football at Solider Field this weekend.
