The Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos are less than a week away from playing in their first regular season game of the 2017 season. While playing under the bright lights of Monday Night Football is always entertaining, there’s nothing better than a divisional matchup to open the season.

That being said, we know how easily weather can affect the outcomes of football games, especially in the NFL. Denver’s weather usually gets pretty darn cold during the regular season, but luckily for the west coast Chargers, they get to travel east in early September.

Fans and players alike couldn’t ask for better conditions in this game on Monday.

While these conditions favor both teams, I believe they give the Chargers the best opportunity to win. Los Angeles has, arguably, the most dangerous passing attack in the AFC West with Philip Rivers returning at quarterback and Keenan Allen fully recovered from his knee injury.

Not to mention, Chargers’ running back Melvin Gordon has recovered from his nagging injuries in 2016 as well.

Needless to say, no rain equals a greater chance for both teams to throw the football with precision, but again, that favors Los Angeles more than it does Denver.
