The Arizona Cardinals face the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday in NFL Week 1, and here’s all the info you need to watch.
The Detroit Lions had to enjoy last season as they were an unlikely playoff team out of the NFC. One of the teams that they ostensibly replaced was the Arizona Cardinals. Where the Lions had great success, the Cards had a ton of bad luck. As fate would have it, they start the 2017 season facing off in Week 1 at Ford Field.
After making it to the postseason, Detroit has hopes of returning. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has a new contract that makes him the highest paid player in the league. Meanwhile, the Lions also have young pieces on defense to hopefully improve their biggest weakness from last year. If they can, they’ll be formidable.
For the Cardinals, the biggest thing about them is that they’re healthy coming into 2017. The team was wrecked with injuries last year, which dampened any chance for success. Now healthy with the likes of Carson Palmer and David Johnson, though, this time should show up in a big way on Sunday to start their season.
Thursday’s game will be broadcast on FOX in local areas. However, you can also stream the game via NFL Sunday Ticket, which is available through a paid subscription. Another option is FuboTV, which also needs a paid sub to utilize.
