Next on the schedule for the Dallas Cowboys is a game at the Denver Broncos, and it is time for bold predictions to be made for America’s Team.

The Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos franchises have a bit of a past with each other. Are they storied rivals? No, but they have faced each other in a Super Bowl back in the 1978, and they both have been home to Cowboys legends such as Tony Dorsett in the 1980s and more recently DeMarcus Ware, as Ware won his lone Super Bowl championship a couple seasons back with Denver in his final season.

That said, both of these two teams are coming off wins against division rivals in primetime games, with the Cowboys defeating the New York Giants, 19-3, on Sunday Night Football, while the Broncos fended off a late-surging Los Angeles Chargers team with a 24-21 win on Monday Night Football.

Their meeting this week is the 12th time these two franchises have faced each other, with Denver leading the all-time series, 7-5. The most recent meeting between the two teams came in October 2013 when the Cowboys and Broncos combined for 99 points in a 51-48 win by the Broncos at AT&T Stadium. In fact, the Broncos have won the past five games between the two franchises, with the last time the Cowboys defeated the Broncos coming in September 1995.

Fast-forward 22 years later, and these two teams are both very quality franchises still, as both have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs. The game that will be broadcast nationally on CBS at 4:25 p.m. ET should bring some quality football and could honestly come down to whether the Cowboys offense can add to their play last week and whether the Broncos defense can play up to their usual standards.

Here are three bold predictions for the Cowboys for their Week 2 game against the Broncos.
