Fantasy Football 2017: 10 Deep sleepers for Week 2
By Dan Thomas
9. Kenny Golladay, WR, Detroit Lions (47.8 percent owned)
Last week the rookie out of Northern Illinois caught two touchdowns passes and goes into Week 2 as the No. 5 fantasy football wide receiver. His matchup this week will be a little more difficult as he has to go on the road to face a stingy New York Giants secondary.
Golladay won’t be a guy who racks up a ton of targets or receptions but at 6-4, he is a threat for a touchdown anytime the Lions get into the red zone.

8. Shane Vereen, RB, New York Giants (30.0 percent owned)
If you remember the write up before about Sterling Shepard, I stated he led all New York Giants wide receivers in targets in receptions. Notice I did not say team because that honor would go to running back Shane Vereen.
Last week Vereen caught nine receptions on 10 targets and his 51 receiving yards finished second on the team. Furthermore, he out-snapped the Giants starting running back Paul Perkins 31-17. If you’re an owner desperate for RB2 in PPR leagues because you lost either David Johnson or Danny Woodhead, Vereen isn’t a bad option.
