The Chicago Bears face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Sept. 17 in NFL Week 2, and here are the highlights from the game.

One of the most impressive performances in Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season came from the Chicago Bears. Sure, they ultimately lost to move to 0-1 to start the year. However, they went toe-to-toe with the defending NFC Champions and were within a couple plays of winning. Now they’ll face another big NFC South opponent in Week 2, traveling to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Coming into this matchup, we didn’t know what to make of the Buccaneers. With their Week 1 game getting postponed due to Hurricane Irma, they welcomed Chicago to Raymond James Stadium facing 16-straight games. They looked to make a statement right out of the gate in Week 2.

Tampa Bay just jumped on the Buccaneers in every way possible. The offense moved the ball solidly with Jameis Winston. However, the most impressive part was their defense, which just picked on the shaky Mike Glennon at quarterback for the Bears. They forced three turnovers (two interceptions, one fumble) from the quarterback in the first half alone, including a pick-six late.

All of this allowed the buccaneers to jump out to a 26-0 lead going into halftime, firmly in control.

Coming out of the half, it was very much just the Buccaneers coasting. They knew that they had the game in hand, so they relied on the run on offense and dropped back in coverage on defense. With the momentum and talent advantage that they had, that was enough to give them the victory, though they lost the shutout late on a fourth-quarter Glennon touchdown pass.
