Both the Panthers and the Bills look to remain perfect on the season.
In Week Two action, the Buffalo Bills take on the Carolina Panthers with both teams looking to put up a 2-0 record. For the Panthers, it will be a sample of home cooking as the will take the field at the friendly confines of Bank of America Stadium.
For those Panthers, last week was a successful one. Although he may have struggled, Cam Newton still had a successful day. Going 14-of-25, he passed for 171 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. His longest pass of the day was 40 yards.
Jonathan Stewart got the game going for the Panthers on the ground, rushing the ball 18 times for 65 yards. The aerial attack was aided by a strong performance from Russell Shepard as he caught two passes for 53 yards and a touchdown.
The Bills were led by Tyrod Taylor who had quite the day. Going 16-of-28 for 224 yards and two touchdowns and interception was his only statistical blemish of the day. LeSean McCoy provided a two-headed attack for Buffalo, doing his part on the ground. Carrying the ball two times for 110 yards and a touchdown, he looked like the McCoy of old. Newly-acquired Jordan Matthews did his part too, catching two passes for 61 yards.
However, Buffalo will face a much higher caliber opponent this week. The question will be if they’re able to raise their performance any higher or not.
