Oakland Raiders: 3 Takeaways from Week 2 vs. Jets
By Randy Gurzi
1. Michael Crabtree is a bad dude
Remember when outspoken cornerback Richard Sherman called Michael Crabtree a sorry receiver? That was back when Crabtree was still with the San Francisco 49ers, and he really never did live up to his lofty draft status for San Francisco. He then went to the city across the bay and has been a monster.
On Sunday he again went off. He was the guy on the receiving end of the hilarious “Seattle” audible, but that wasn’t his only touchdown. Crabtree caught all three of the touchdowns from Carr and finished the game with six receptions for 80 yards.
Coming off his first season with more than 1,000 yards as a Raider (and second of his career) Crabtree is off to a fast start. In Week 1 he had six receptions as well for 83 yards. He’s become the go-to guy, which is saying something considering the high draft status of Amari Cooper, who lines up opposite him at wide receiver.

Next week Oakland will look to go 3-0. They will play against the Washington Redskins, a team that won a close one in Week 2 and went to 1-1 on the young season. That game will be on the road and on Sunday Night Football.
