The Detroit Lions face the New York Giants on Sunday, Sept. 17 in NFL Week 2 for Monday Night Football. Here is all the info you need to watch.

The Detroit Lions and the New York Giants face off on Monday Night Football in Week 2. The Giants are coming off a 19-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. The Giants were missing their star receiver Odell Beckham Jr in Week 1 and it remains unclear on if Beckham will be ready to play on Monday night.

Detroit is 1-0 after pulling off a fourth-quarter comeback over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. After a rough start to the game, the Lions scored 20 unanswered points to end up winning, 35-23. They were known as the comeback kings last season, and started off the year in the same fashion.

Beckham appears to be the key to the Giants offense, who failed to score a touchdown without him on the field. In fact, the Giants are 2-4 in games without Beckham since drafting him in 2014. The Lions have a high-scoring offense and the Giants will either need to have Beckham healthy or find a way to replace him if they want to keep up.

Both the Lions and Giants could use a win on Monday Night Football in terms of setting the tone. However, these two teams have plenty of storylines early in the year. As such, they should make for a fun Monday Night Football matchup.

Detroit has not had a ton of success against the Giants in recent years, losing four of their last five games in this matchup, including a 17-6 loss in Week 15 last season. However, the Lions are not an easy team to put down. The Lions and quarterback Matthew Stafford had an NFL record eight fourth-quarter comebacks last season. If the Giants want to win this game they will need to score early and often and rely on their defense to prevent another fourth-quarter comeback for the Lions.
