Seattle Seahawks: 3 Takeaways vs 49ers in Week 2
By Nick Sparrow
1. Russell Wilson performs under pressure
It might have taken the majority of eight quarters of play for the Seahawks to score their first touchdown on 2017, but it could not have come at a better time. The Seahawks were trailing by three points in the fourth quarter and had found little offensively during the game. Seattle’s longest drive of the game began early in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Russell Wilson went 3-for-4 on the drive and rushed for 27 yards himself before throwing a nine-yard touchdown to Paul Richardson.
Wilson had struggled throughout Week 1 and in this game until the touchdown drive, but seeing him perform a game-winning drive was comforting for Seattle fans. Despite Wilson’s early struggles, this drive proved he can still perform at the highest level when the game is on the line. Wilson’s 2016 season was marred by nagging injuries, but he appeared completely healthy as he scrambled on four different occasions on the touchdown drive.

The Seahawks will have a tough matchup on the road when they face the Tennessee Titans in Week 3. However, after what we saw from Wilson on his touchdown drive on Sunday I expect the Seahawks offense performs at an all-star level for the first time this season.
