1. Jermaine Kearse

The veteran wide receiver is like a blue chip stock right now. He’s very reliable, steady and he has become Josh McCown’s favorite target. He is also New York’s best offensive weapon just two weeks into the 2017 campaign. No doubt about it.

Kearse followed up his seven reception performance against Buffalo in the season opener with a stellar outing in Oakland. The 6-1, 212-pounder had four catches for a team-high 64 yards and most importantly, two touchdowns. He received five targets and was on the field for 49 of New York’s 56 snaps, the most on the team.

His first touchdown was a 34-yarder from McCown along the right sideline on a third down play. That’s important to note because Kearse is going to vital to the Jets on third down opportunities. He’s the player that McCown will look to. His excellent route running and good hands are already showing up in the box score.

Although we’re just two games into the season, Kearse owns the highest catch percentage of his six-year career (78.6 percent). He leads Gang Green so far in receptions (11), targets (14), receiving yards (123) and touchdowns (2).

Kearse’s stock continues to point up so expect him to produce another solid performance against an average-at-best Miami Dolphins secondary this Sunday.
